Looking at and admiring all the urban/city/architectural layouts posted lately inspired me to design one featuring the "big city" of my childhood. I grew up in a Chicago suburb. As a child, I thought Chicago was a magical and mysterious place filled with impressive tall buildings, intriguing museums and overflowing with culture. The photo I found on Pixabay perfectly matched how I viewed the big city when I was young. I used a darker palette to add a mysterious ambiance. Also, I used a text paper in the background and in the title art because Chicago was the printing capital of the US then. And I grew up reading the Chicago Sun Times every dayafter my Dad finished with it, of course. (Hmmm, wonder if that's why I'm such a new junkie now?) So Chicago always has and will always be "my kind of town."
