Ive been wanting to create a photograph with something in my hands and my face blurred. Its such a flattering look when youre a grandmother. The idea has appeared several times on Katrina Kennedy's CY365 list. CY365 Team Member Jeannie Thiessen is a master at this concept.

Process: First, I worked with the photo, adding a couple of filters including a RadLab filter to boost the contrast. Then I dragged a composite over to my new blank document. I clipped it to the mask and resized. Next, I created an extraction of the part of the photo that was in focus, my hands, and placed it above the mask.
Once I had the photo placed, I began working on the background. For the background, I first placed the layers of AT HummingBird transfer_1 and masked out parts. I placed transfer_8 below the photo and used a layer mask to erase parts. I placed solid paper_1 from the AP. For the rest of the background, I used overlays and parts from ALT 201.
Third I wrote my journaling. created a cluster on the left and then added a title and some elements.
