Visby on the island Gotland in Sweden has the most well preserved medieval curtain wall of all of northern Europe, and the narrow alleys in the old town are lined with buildings and church ruins that call to mind Visbys age of greatness in the 13th century. Every year in August it is a Medieval Week here. Inside the city walls there are intermingled spectacle and excitement for all. Skilled craftsmen clinking their forging hammers, merchants from distant lands, virtuoso chefs prepare yummy treats, delectable music sounds in the afternoon dance, resounding laughter, fresh bread and freshly grilled boar.

Process: I started with an artsy paper from ArtPlay Palette Old World and then I added my photo and an overlay from FotoBlendz Overlays No. 7. I clipped my photo to this overlay and then duplicated it . Both photo layers were set to Darken. I placed two glows from LoveGlows No. 2 on the right side and changed the colors a bit. I also placed a gold paint from the APP and a stitching from UrbanStitchez No. 7 on the right side of the page. A map from Travel Europe No 1 was placed in the upper right corner and a brush from the APP on the left side. Then I added a quote from SubtleQuotes Travel No 1 and a texture from TapedTextures No 3. I finished the page with embellishments from Loop DaLoop Travel No 1 and ArtPlay Palette Old World.
