The Farmer Asks ...

We finally got a break from the rain for a few days, but the farmers fields are saturated with small ponds accumulating and crops dying from too much water.

The Process
I began with the photo and masks from Tartan FotoBlendz 1. Several masks were layered across the page, adjusting height and size. The photo was duplicated 4 times (linked together incase I needed to move it around) and clipped to the masks. Transfers from AP Storm were clipped to the photo with the blending mode changed to color burn.See Suzies tutorialSuzies tutorial. I grouped the photos and masks, duplicated the group two more times. Now there are 3 groups of the photo. The bottom layer blending mode was changed to screen, the middle and top layers were changed to color burn. On the top layer I added a layer mask and hid the field so that only the clouds were visible. This gave the clouds a more ominous look without darkening the field. Several taped Textures were layered over the photo with the blending mode changed to overlay. Next the word art, multi media arrows, threadz, grass and overlay were added.
I know what you mean about rain - looks like my backyard at too many times! love the blending! love the acrylic triangles - fantastic!

My husband exploited(ran) 250 hectares of cereal then the meteorological hazards we know! We feel sorry because it is the earnings(gain) of the year. Attractive page!

We've had a lot of rain too, more even this morning! Love the color you got on your photo!

Love how all the elements/brushes represent the rain. Perfectly done. We are having so much rain too in Australia - but it's winter here. Summer we don't get a drop and our crops don't do well........can't win can we!!!
