My Process: I used an artsy paper from AP Summery, and used the inverted masking technique (see
AnnaBlendz No. 4 Inverted Masking) to add the photo to the layout. I played around with the various blend modes, and ended up layering multiple copies of the photo, using blend modes hard light and linear burn. I then began adding transfers and brush work from AP Summery around the photo. I added the wordart, changing its color to blue, and added a stroke and shadow. I then added the cluster. The urbanthreadz were placed at a slight angle, making it appear to be holding down the raffia, and then I used the transform command to angle the string of the urban threads back to vertical. The stitched portion was masked out to appear to be intertwined with the raffia. The twine and charm was intertwined with the wordart, masking out potions. I added the edge overlay, modifying the color, and added the mm sun.
