these two pages are of the last hike of the day to the Boquillas Canyon - it was fairly short but OMgosh was it hot! I should have taken water but I thought it was such a short hike - but it was mid-afternoon and it was hot over 100 F. The funniest was that on the opposite side of the Rio Grande was a singing Mexican. As we passed he would say hello and then sing and ask us to put money in his jar on the US side of the Rio Grande. too funny

Amazing! I do really well in January, but just can't take that kind of heat on a hike. I sure do relate to not taking water, too.I love the soft gray with these photos.
