The Process
I began with processing the photo by working with the curves and levels, saturation and then flattened the image. The beauty of the falls was amazing, but difficult to take pictures because it was dark. I think a tripod and a longer exposure would have worked better. I duplicated the processed photo, changed the blending mode to screen, added a layer mask and brushed out (hid) the green and water. I duplicated the processed photo again, this time changing the blending mode to multiply, added a layer mask and brushed out (hid) the dark rock. The two different processes gave the photo a better balance. These layers were flattened and the photo was duplicated again with the blending mode changed to hard light (opacity remained at 100%). These layers were flatten and an inverted layer mask (black) and using an AnnaBlendz Artsy 5 brush, I started painting the middle of the photo back. I layered frame 2 from AP Canyon behind the photo and changed the blending mode to darken and then duplicated it to give a deeper shadow. A script tease nature brush, skinny lined overlay, wood word, label word, flower and threadz were added to complete the page.
