what a special little guy. I bet he is the best at snuggling. So glad you rescued him. My dd told me about a friend that bought 3 dogs from a store for the same reason. So sad! - but with a happy ending. Give Charlie a hug from me!
it's right that you and Charlie found each other. i think rescues make the best companions ... somehow they know they have a new chance at life.
i found my Annabelle this way ... i had her for 19 years. it was hard losing her but not having her for all those years would have meant the loss of so much happiness for me. i have three kitties, now, also rescues. it hurts to know there are so many more that could use loving homes.
