We had a hummingbird build a nest on a string of lights on our patio. As soon as she saw us come outside, she freaked and abandoned the nest. I was happy to find another bird take up house and lay eggs. She was bolder, and stood her ground when we came outside. I had done a lot of research then to find out a bit of how the nests are built and also learned that often times the mom will not sit on the babies, as there is not room, so once they are old enough to stay warm, she just watches over them. How fascinating they are. Great shots - love the web as well. They are smart to use webs as glue.
