2015Apr9 little blue heron

All the birds in these photos are actually the species - they are all little blue herons, the white ones are actually juveniles who were just starting to turn blue. I would have thought they were egrets without going on the tour. This really showed me I really have to look more closely to determine what bird I am seeing!

Nancy I have seen some of these birds in our pond, I think with a color a bit different darker, I like the use of the template and combination of photos, wondering if you see the final of hokey last weekend?

Wonderful bird photos. I didn't know the herons are white when they are young. Something new learned :) Love your use of the template!
