The Process
While visiting the Fountain of Youth in St. Augustine, FL (and I really don't feel any younger) we were able to watch the beautiful peacocks strut around with their tails fanned out. I began with processing my photo with the iphone app Brush Stroke and importing it onto a 12x12 page with a textured paper from AP Beautiful Day as the background. I created an inverted layer mask (black) and began brushing back the image with a pastel brush.

Next I created a small square in the center of the page below the photo and clipped a paper from AP SeaFoam to it (hue/saturation adjusted). I added a frame from AP Christmas Nostalgia around the square and changed the blending mode to darken. I layered the stain from AP Mini Honor, a skinny lined overlay and paint splatters below the small center square. The jewels were recolored and a button was added.
