Method: I took the photo of Bim and added a simple frame (video tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fhChbvLlE9s).
Blending mode gobeldy gook: This photo was pretty much a throw away!! So I ran blending mode "Difference" over the photo (one of my faves!) then inverted the mode and "darkened" it (lightened). This bought the blow out light bits to normal and the dark bits to visable!! I then added an adjustment layer and put multiply BM over this to make the dark/shadow bits dark (Multiply is a dark blend mode). I also put a very slight curve over that. I then clipped to 2 masks. With the background I started with BG paper and a transfer from Honour then imported Artsy Transfer Capture (4) as a group and tweeked (Video tutorial link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6YiDHNiLb0) Added the journaling and hand wrote "comfortable". I then moved everything to the top left corner as opposed to the mid right side as per the lift! Phew! Sounds like it took ages but this took about an hour (which is quick for me!)
NB: Some elements have been recoloured and/or blended
