The Process
I selected artsy transfer 1 from Artsy Transfers Daffodil for the foundation for my photo. I clipped the photo to the transfer layer, duplicated the photo and changed the blending mode to screen with a reduced opacity, to brighten it up. I also painted in a few gaps in the transfer to fill it. I then began turning off/on layers and changing blending modes to see how it affected the photo. Once I was satisfied I created a composite (Command, Option, Shift on a Mac) and imported it to a 12x12 page. Then I selected artsy paper 4 from AP Daffodil as the background. I layered solid paper 5 above the artsy paper, added a layer mask and brushed (hid) parts of the page I didnt want to show. Next I layered a frame from UrbanThreadz Framed 2 and changed the blending mode to darken. A flower from MultiMedia Spring 1 was layered under the frame. For the feathers I created a layer above them and painted in a variety of color and then clipped the paint layer to the feather and added a shadow. For the left side, I started with an overlay from AP Daffodil, layered a MultiMedia Spring 1 flower and a threadz. Buttons, flowers, ribbons, acrylic word and word art were added to complete the page.
