this photo is one of the Alzheimer Society in the Netherlands
the poem is about having big gaps in the memory and wondering who am I and who are you? And all they wish for is a smile , a warm hand and to be treated like a human being till the end.

I started with a solid background, used a transfer as a mask for my photo . The first photo was set at luminosity- I then added the same photo again and put it on colorburn to make the hands more visable. I erased the rest of the second photo.
I put on transfer 2 which I flipped both horizontal and vertical , then added urban stitches, strokes and some elements. The poem was put in a frame .
The addition of the overlay brought it all together.
