The Process
I clipped the photo to a watercolor fotoblendz mask. I then tried several papers from AP Behold and finally selected solid paper 2. Then I changed the watercolor fotoblendz mask to hard light to allow some of the color and stripes to show through. I extracted the balloon, duplicated it (blending mode changed to screen with reduced opacity) and created a custom shadow behind it. A transfer from Scientist was clipped between the layers for texture. A stamp from AP Traveler and Postmarked 1 brushes were added. For the text, I typed the quote so that the words are read from bottom to top, then simplified (rasterized) the type. I used the free transform (perspective) tool to give the type perspective and a vanishing point. I added the clouds with a shadow to create more depth on the page. Elements, faded words, loops, arrows, brushes were layered on to complete the page.
