The photo was already treated with an Instagram filter to punch up and sharpen the colors. I placed this on the ArtPlay Ablaze paper using a mask from Anna Sampler no 2, then just used bunches of transfers and glows to add the color. Another copy of the untreated photo extends the color on the left side.
Journaling:
Its interesting to think of the timelessness of seasons. The way we live changes so much, perhaps drastically from generation to generation, but the background remains the same. The ivy grows fuller each year, but still it turns from green to red and gold as the summer migrates to the cool of autumn, clinging to the walls as they age and resist the sands of time The grass comes up bright green each spring and glows with the warmth of sunshine and the moisture puddling at its feet, the sky casts the hues of the season, whitening as the winter approaches. The logs transform to wood, the insulation of a grassy roof becomes tiles and synthetic products, but the backdrop remains the same.
Even in the simplest of times, the source of beauty remains a constant.
