Valentines Day has special meaning for my son and his bride! Aaron and Staci met on Valentines Day and he proposed the next Valentines Day. They were married on 8.31.14. Combined this sweet photo and Annas new AP Behold to create my version of elegant..which I believe makes it an ElegantMess! Happy Valentines Day!

Page process-
First decision which of the hundreds of wedding photos to play with!.................such a problem!
The photo was clipped to brush_11 of the AP Behold brush set and then duplicated and the second layer was converted to black and white. The opacity of the second layer was decreased to bring the color of the underlying original photo back into the page, but decreasing the glare of the sunshine in the photo which caused the photo to be too harsh for this subtle page design.
Transfer_8 from AP Behold was layered below the photo and brush mask to create depth. The same transfer was clipped right over the top of the photo and the linear burn blending mode was applied to cause distress in the photo. Next a FadedWords Travel brush was also layered and blended into the photo as well.
Once I saw the cool distress in my elegant photo my addiction took over..
-more brushes were layered around the photo
-wordART was recolored placed around the photo to create a frame effect
-Love WordART soulful moments was recolored and duplicated to create a painted artsy feel with the double layers flowing into one another
-CanvasTextures were randomly placed on the solid background to simply distress up what felt to clean for the rest of the page design
-A frame from AP Behold was placed below the photo = mask layers and the pin light blending mode gives the pop to the photo section of the design
-the texture above the photo was created with tape element and the luminosity blending mode
-finally a few details of buttons and photo turns and stitching to finish off this Elegantmess
