It has been a year since we learned our little Cricket had cancer, and we lost her within a week so, on this 1 year anniversary of her death, I am reminded of her sweetness, and am quite sad. Every place I look, something is there to remind me of her. I know that over time, the pain lessens, but there is still quite a big hole left by her loss. This is a photo of my dd with her. Cricket would always greet us with one quick smooch, if we brought our face up to hers just one lick. She is so missed!

The Process: I began with the Artsy Paper from AP Behold, rotating it, so the plain cardstock portion is at the top. I added the photo frame, and placed the photo. I changed the frames color to gray. I added a few additional transfers (love them). I then added the title font. I edged it with white, and added the small pieces of white stitching to hold down different portions of the title. I added a custom shadow, minimizing the shadow where the stitches held down the word. I add the embroidered heart over one of the font tails, and then added a variety of elements to the lower right of the page. I then added the krisskross stitched overlay. I added the button to one of the lines of stitching, changing its color to a very soft pink, and then added a wordstrip from AP Remarkable, but placed it on blend mode Screened to reverse the color and remove the black, placing it vertically, under the white button. I duplicated the word strip Witness selected its pixels, filled it with pink, transformed the size, and added the word Missing You to it, placing it under the KrissKross Overlay, and adding a custom shadow to it. I added the names and the date on the bottom of the frame. I finished by adding a postmarked brush, and repeating the faded words under the frame, title and elements, in a soft brown color.
