Journaling reads: At a car show in Coronado, Cora was much more interested in climbing the Eucalyptus tree in the park across from the church. The split in the branches of the tree were low enough for her to be hoisted up, and she was quick to give mommy a big hug and lots of kisses!

The Process: I began with the ALT 177, and used a combination of the Artsy Transfers Love Story, and the template layers to create the base. I added the photos to the clipping mask of each frame, and then duplicated each photo, and placing the photo above the frame layer, extracted just Coras feet and legs, that extended past the frame edge. I added a variety of the multimedia and stitched hearts as well as some additional urban threadz and urban stitches. Once everything was in place, to make the photos pop a bit more, I then played around with the background kardstock color, choosing to change the color to a soft yellow. The title was created by first adding a stoke to the alpha in the same color as the font (to thicken a too thin alpha), and then to a duplicate layer of the same text (underneath the first), added a stoke in white, as well as a shadow. I then added the journaling. I wanted to add more texture, so I then added the gray and white chevron paper, under the photos, and placed it on blend mode multiply. I then masked out all except for the areas I wanted to darken with a bit of chevron pattern. I then placed it under some of the paint and transfer layers to have the pattern be under the white and pink areas of tranfers.
