[park avenue] [three gossips] Remember the Park Avenue hike with the GoPro on my head for the first time, and how it made me sick to watch the video.
The GoPro mounts on the Jeep and documents what it's like on the advanced trails. It's great for that. I've gotten just a few screen captures from it that I wanted to use in my books, on cliffs where there's no way to stop and jump out for a shot with a better camera. Where it's not even possible to slow down. I also have some priceless footage from when I had it on my head at my Dad's. He even made a selfie video with it, which of course now that he's gone is fabulous to have. For a hike, the problem with it on my head was having to watch every step on a long descent in rock terrain, and not smooth enough panning. I'm going to try it again, for a shorter walk, on less rocky terrain, etc. I did get some good captures out of my footage, but I absolutely can't watch it without getting sick.
