After our time at Sacro Monte we checked the restaurant that was there but they were only taking booking for the upcoming Easter feast. Sadly, they were not serving while we were there. So we headed on to Courgne, which was over cast and drizzly. But while we searched for some lunch, I had spotted a cafe/candy shop. I knew what we would go to after lunch! After walking to and fro, and not finding many choices we settled on the American Bar. Not the most Italian of names but a very local clientele. I had my dry cured meat and salad while Dick had lasagne. We also scarfed down the bread basket. Back at the Cafe, I knew what I wanted - a cicolatte. Dick had a peppermint and I had a chestnut one. Pure heaven! I also got some violet flavored candy which I had not had since I was a girl. Then it was on to see if we could reach the French border and/or real snow.
