The Process
I began with a neutral background paper from AP Snow Fun that had some texture to it. I clipped the photos to a watercolor fotoblendz mask, duplicated them, used the artistic filter underpainting, changed the blending mode to hard light, reduced the opacity. I duplicated the original photo again and placed it above the underpainting layer, used the artistic filter paint daubs and changed the blending mode to hard light with a reduced opacity. Next I layered frames from AP Snow Fun and AP Across the Miles under the photos. I then layered transfers from AP Red Suit below the frames, added a layer mask and brushed out the hard edges. To complete the page I added more transfers, artstrokes, snow sprays, elements, word transfer (with a warm glow layered above and the blending mode changed to linear burn, reduced opacity), title and a multimedia winter branch.
