Santa Star

This is for this weeks AnnaLift https://ozone.oscraps.com/forum/showthread.php?t=30601, with inspiration by 'lorrieimages' entitled 'Meeting Santa"

Journaling reads: Although I have never counted them, I have a good many Santas for my tree. This whimsical star shaped Santa was added to my collection in 1985. Purchased at a gift shop, I thought he was just a delight, with his curly beard. He is hand painted ceramics. I always buy a Noble Fir, so I love that he is on the small side, and can easily be tucked within the tree branches, but always easily seen because of all the white. Although each Santa on the tree is special in its own right, the fact that this one also falls into the Star category gives this Santa that special edge.

The Process: I began with a neutral Kardstock, and added The Frame from AP Red Suit. I added the photo, clipping it to the fotomask. I duplicated the photo, and moved it above the frame layer, I masked it all out, painting back in, just the tips of the star and hat which fell on the frame. I added a shadow to these star points, and then detached it from the photo layer, allowing me to then erase the portions of the shadow in the areas it shouldnt be. I duplicated the photo one more time, and placed this copy below the frame, reverse masking the photo. I then added the 2 other image elements the Santa below was a transfer from AP Red Suit. I placed a MultiMedia Tree behind the transfer. For the third grouping, I added a phot, attached an ArtsyKard from ArtsyKard Christmas Nostalgia to the clipping mask. I then sat the little Santa to the edge of the frame, and placed various elements from a good many of Annas Christmas ArtPlays, MultiMedia and WordArt packs. I added the LoopDaLoop, some spatters which were either white or deep red, and then added the journaling and WordART. I then decided to use the Santa brush from AP Christmas No. 1, changing its color to a deep green, and brought down its opacity to about 20%. I finished up the page by adding the Edge overlay, changing its color to green.

I'm loving this series and this page is again wonderful. Great take on the AnnaLIFT and the mint green with the reds is definitely a winner!

Magical page. I love how every "Santa" is different, and yet we all know who he is when we see him. This one is, indeed, charming.

Oh my, your page is wonderful. I love all the elements you've added. I'll be lifting your lift of my page and adding some photos from Santacon this weekend in Cincinnati! Thanks for all the inspiration Anna team gives us on this site.
