There is a timelessness to a visit with Santa, especially for a grandma

Process: I wanted to show the timelessness of visiting Santa over time, so I converted the only photo I have of my daughter with Santa and a recent shot of my granddaughter to black and white to match the only Christmas photo of have of me and my sister. I dragged all the layers of artsy template_173 to a new blank document. I turned off all but the photo masks and frames and duplicated one of the frames so that I could frame all three. I clipped my photos to the photo masks and added the date for each photo. I placed solid paper_2 from ArtPlay Sugar below all the layers and then began turning on the textures, a paint layer, two overlays and the splatter layers from the template as I added transfers and overlays from the new artplay palette. I recolored the templates paint layer and some of the splatters. Then I worked on positioning the layers, sometimes moving, rotating or adding layer masks to get the look that I wanted. I added the word art and elements. I created a separate shadow layer for the word label, adjusting it with the warp too. The text box and edge are from the new Holiday Album Template.
