I accompanied my granddaughter on her visit to see Santa last week. Lets just say, the final shot of her waving good-bye tells the story best

Process: This layout began with the last photo I shot of my granddaughters visit with Santa, probably the only really cute one of her as she didnt especially enjoy her visit. I extracted her from the background, duplicated the photo three times, leaving the original on normal. The next copy I used a filter to find the edges, the second I applied a posterization filter and the last a filter from Topaz Labs. I created a custom shadow to mimic the light coming in front of her body. I applied a color fill adjustment layer to the paper to get it a little lighter than an artsy paper in ArtPlay Star, changed the blend mode ot linear burn at 25%. Then on the left, I recreated Santa, using a transfer from Christmas Nostalgia and placing some some layers from Artsy Transfers Star 1, 2, and 4 above Santa. I added some splatters. I recolored the silver glitter with a color fill adjustment layer on color burn at about 20%. For the background below my granddaughter I placed most of the layers from transfer_4, but above that, I placed the art stroke and splatter from transfer_4, some splatters, an art stroke, texture, transfer and star from transfer_3. Just below these layers I placed the glitter (recolored), a texture and two transfers from transfer_2, blending on layer masks as needed. Above these layers, I placed the multimedia Santa, (flipped horizontally), the tag from ArtPlay Star for my journaling tacked down with a brad to match Santa on the left. The little waving Santa just above the word art is also from ArtPlay Christmas Nostalgia. I used a font, Kidprint, to enhance the child like feel of this layout. I love the vintage look of that Santa; hes looks almost exactly like the Santa on a 1947 copy of Night Before Christmas that my husband was given as a child.
