Whitewashed

This is for this week's AnnaLift, with inspiration from 'mariah', entitled 'keeping watch' https://ozone.oscraps.com/forum/showthread.php?t=30471

Rachel was lucky enough to have a horse owner at the stable allow her to ride her little Arab anytime she wished. Showtyme was not your typical Arab, so other than an occasional defiant throwing of her head, she was very mindful of Rachel, and as sweet as could be.
Journaling: As the mom of a horse rider, my time was spent walking the stable grounds, taking photos of Rachel from a variety of vantage points. My favorite, although not a close up, was to photograph her with this gorgeous white-washed barn as a back drop. Although barely standing, it is protected by the fact that it has historical significance. Although there are no funds to restore this barn, it will remain until it falls from natural decay, but until that time this whitewashed barn is the light of the stable.

The Process: I began with the Artsy paper from AP Star. I then added the fotoblendz clipping mask, and clipped the photo to it. I began adding a variety of transfers under, and around the photo, playing around with their blend modes. I added the grouping of elements. I loved the greenery from Annas new MultiMedia Trees No. 3, and used a few of the green elements, but modified their color to better with with the layout. I added the title, the wordart and the journaling, and then finished up by placing a number of spatters and scribbles. Because I loved the inspiration piece for this weeks AnnaLift, I then flattened a copy of the page, and scaled it down a bit to add the thin dark border.

***thanks for looking***
I love the blending and the glow behind the wordArt. I also love how you used the cluster to anchor the journaling.

Beautiful old barn! We have so many here that are falling down. Wish they could all be preserved! Beautiful page, love the cluster by the journaling!

love how the cluster divides the page, and the incomplete photo and wonderful texture!

Perfect vantage pointe in which to capture the detail of the scene. Your pages always tell a story!

What a great photo! Love the girl on the horse with the big barn on the background. Great textures and awesome cluster of elements. Looks so pretty on your page!
