Journaling: You were lost today. Gone from my reach for such a long time. Usually, when I come to see you, I can immediately see the light of recognition flicker in your eyes the moment you look into mine. But not today. Today you would not look into my eyes. I could not bring you back from the abyss of your memories. This is the first time I had a sense something was wrong. There was a moment of tears and profound sadness on your face, all I could do was hold you and tell you that I loved you. Our visit continued with your silence and my reassuring words for nearly an hour. Where did you go? It was later that day that you fell from your chair, something you have never done before. My heart aches when I am unable to comfort you. Oh how I wish you could tell me how to help you during these times. Our Mother Daughter boundaries are so blurred now. I tuck you in at night, shower, dress and feed you some mornings. I am there when you are sick or hurt. I will always try to be that light in the darkness for you, guiding you home.

Process | Placed an Artsy Background paper. Placed a frame then duplicated it. Clipped my photos to the masks. I added a couple of travel themed transfers and a few embellishments. I completed the layout with my journaling.
