Evolution of the Idea

Ive never printed the layout on the left. It was one of my first pages and created with a template, as I began my scrapbooking journey in January 2010. This layout has been hidden on my hard drive in a folder labeled "Layouts to Rework" ever since.

Now, nearly five years later, I still think templates are a great way to tell stories using photos and journaling. However, I much prefer creating with more artsy looking templates that reflect my taste for an informal, free form design. For more information see Anna's blog today Evolution of the Idea 2

Utterly precious page, and I agree...love templates. But I like both styles, and split my pages equally between them. Your artsy page is certainly more dynamic...way more energy. Adorable little guys too.

Wonderful blog post and redesign. Too cute those photos. I'm still wondering how our art will evolve from here over time, too. It may depend on what products are available.

I love the new page using the template. You can really see the FUN in the page with the artsy look. The use of her Fotoblenz, for what I call the feature picture, really stands out for me. I love your new page.

I think the second page more truly reflects the fun time those two young boys seemed to be having. A really lovely page!
