Facebook Daisy

Journaling reads: Soon after Megan and Cora moved into their home in Lakeside, they began thinking about getting a dog. They found listings on Facebook of people who could no longer keep their dogs, and found Daisy. Her owners had to move to an apartment, and they had 2 dogs to find homes for. They found that Daisy was a good fit for the family. She is sweet, gentle and protective of her new family. The love you see in her eyes as she plays with Cora is magical.

The process: I began with the new ArtsyLayered template no. 168. I moved the two photo frames to the upper left edge of the layout, and attached the photos. I duplicated the photos and created the OOB potions of each framed photo. I used one of the large painted layers from the template and attached the large photo of Daisy to it. I duplicated the photo, but carefully masked out the outer edge of the photo to bring interest to Daisys face. I then began taking each layer of the template, and played with them, until I like the look. I added the Beaded Threadz, the other elements, and the scripttease brushwork along the right edge. I added the Edge Overlay, recoloring it to a soft brown. I added the WordART, the journaling and the WarmGlow behind the lower framed photo. I finished the page by adding the title and snuck in the little pink daisy near the title.

***thanks for looking***
I like the use of the template, such a great use of the main photo in the focal point, thanks you for the explanation!

Your title cluster is fabulous, great idea to move the frames along the side of your page, creating more interest with the out of bounds framing! Wonderful layout Joanie!!

Very cool page! Love the distressed yet childlike and playful feel to the page, Joanie!
