My Grandfather, my Uncle and flanking them both I think are the two son in laws: I never met the son in laws as both died quite young and my Uncle scared the living daylights out me he was so grumpy. I think they look like the mafia here LOL!! The date on the back isn't clear but I'm guessing it was probably 1957.

I extracted the figures then duplicated three times making the layers darken then hard light. I created the colour by layering transfers from Artsy Transfers Glance, Autumn elegance and a warm glow between the layers. Behind the figures I layered more transfers and a couple of fotoglows one of which I inverted to get the blue colour then finished with a cloud brush. The alpha was layered and the stitches layered on top.

Love "the guys" ... awesome title work! Also love how the transfers add color to the photo!
 
Very cool! Thanks for explaining the result of the glows. Really adds so much wonderful interest in the vintage page!
