Kiss

Id love to wrap this moment I photographed of my youngest grandson and granddaughter in tissue paper, like a gift to unwrap when they are grown.

Process: I placed my photo on the right side of a blank canvas. Once I had my photo adjusted, I placed Solid paper 5 below my photo layers to begin creating a background. I used transfer 1 four times, rotating it, trying to match the curves of the transfer with my photo. I reduced the opacity to 75%. I placed art stroke 3 above the transfers. To bring out the pink, I duplicated overlay 2 three times, rotated it, changed the blend mode and adjusted the opacity. I also added a little black spray paint to the background.

Then, I started working on balancing the right side with the left. I used transfer 4 at 75% opacity, placed transfer 6 above it on multiply at 40% before adding overlay 1 on linear burn and overlay 2 on normal.

Finally, I placed the heart ribbon so that it looked like it was snug up against transfer 4 to create the depth that is on the right and attached just the charm to the ribbon. I created a text path for the photo date. I placed my journaling below the ribbon in such a way that while a little is covered, enough is there that the reader can use context to read it. The title is based on a lesson from class that Im taking with Jana Morton.
precious photo, Linda. i love your description of what you'd like to do. beautiful page.

this is just so stunning - from the photo, to the blending, colour work, journaling, design, I could go on and on.
