The Process: I seldom do a layout with a dark background, but this was a fun layout to create because it was different than my typical lighter page colors. I began with the Solid black paper, and changed the color slightly giving it a blue tinge. I added the gray paper on top and reduced its opacity to soften the color a bit more. I added the large transfer in the corner (from BONUS transfers), and blended on top. The photo was very washed out, and had streams of glare running through it. I didnt so much dislike the streaks, but didnt like that is was washed out and drab, so I placed the photo on blend mode darker color, duplicated it, and placed the next photo on blend mode overlay, copied it a third time, and keeping it on the same blend mode, darkened the photo using curves. I then began adding various other transfers and brushes along the top and right edges of the paper. I added the silver frame, and placed another photo of the two within the frame. I then began adding elements around the frame as well. The stitches were added next, and then the star sparkles throughout. After various attempts at placing the title, I decided to create a custom path, and add the title along one of the artstrokes. I finished the layout by adding the text brushwork from the BrushSet, and placed it on blend mode divide, and then lowered its opacity, so that it was very faint.
