Cassie Album
After we lost our 16 yr old Beagle a few weeks ago, my son asked if I was going to make a Cassie book.
Last year I made one for our little Maltese that died. When my son saw it, he asked if he could have a copy of his own.
Its those times when I feel all the scrapbooking we do is appreciated.
Here is one spread of the book, not in any particular order.
Each spread will have a title page on the left and the focal photo on the right.
Process: Open a page to the dimensions of your spread so you can work on the whole spread at a glance.
Afterwards you can split the spread into left and right pages for posting, or you can post the whole spread.
On a neutral background I placed the stripped transfers from AP Tangier to run across the top.
Right side: Place photo and clip to mask. I used Abstract FotoBlendz 4. Use a psd frame, but delete mask layer, keeping frame and shadow.
Edge photo with Urban Threads and transfers.
I duplicated photo and set second layer to vivid light.
Left side: Place tag and enter title. Enhance tag with urban threadz/stitchez, tie and leaf from AP Frozen and various transfers.
Blue highlights are from AP Frozen Glow in Elements 1. Set to hard mix blend.
Yellow glow is from WarmGlows No.1 set to overlay blend.
I also love the spreads of isDK. What a great idea to make an album of your beloved dog Cassie. That is really special. Love the photo and her little paws coming out of the frame.
The way you've used brushes to section your paper across both pages is so soft and light, the title and elements on the left balance the framed photo on the right, what a treasure for your son!
I'm glad your son asked for this .... it shows how strong the love is...I'm sorry for your loss but hopefully your "Cassie Book" will make it easier!!!
