this was supposed to be an i-need-a-break-from-heritage-pages page
but after i got the leaves done, i remembered i had this
photo. the little girl (my aunt) was photographed sitting on a porch and she is far to the right of the photo with mostly darkness behind her.
based on what she's wearing it was probably chilly, so i added her to this page

Thanks for looking
process...
i started with a neutral bg and my leaf photo. i created a new layer and stamped the artsy paint on the layer. i clipped my photo to this paint layer. i duplicated this layer and moved only the mask, then i erased part of the paint layer to make it look more like a leaf (right). the photo was added over the leaf layers. there are two copies of the photo. one is just of the little girl, the other is part of the photo background. i added the frame over the girl and masked out the parts that covered her legs. the shadow for the frame is on a separate layer so that i could erase the areas over the legs. finally, i added the extra leaves, threadz, and title and it was done.
