Process Notes - more here https://ozone.oscraps.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=320762&title=santa-maria-maggiore-process - : I concealed the original photo with an all-black "conceal all" layer mask and used white watercolor-style brushes on the mask to reveal the parts of the photo I wanted to show. I developed a pencil sketch from the original photo and stacked it on the "painted" (masked photo) layer. Then I made a composite of the pencil sketch and "painted" layers, clipped the composite to a Shabby Christmas brush/mask and added a the stitch and a bit of brushwork.
this is one of those pages that you take a second and third look at then look again. wonderful combination of techniques and i really like the position of the photo with respect to the white space.
