I started with a paperie turned 90 degrees so that 'water' was on the bottom, them placed my photo, changing it to Pin Light, and using a vector mask and brushes to blend it. Then I added another photo from the same day in linear burn mode, again with a vector mask and brushes to blend it. I added a couple more paperies and another photo, all masked and blended, to continue to build the background. Another copy of the photo in Lighten mode brightens the focus on the ship, supplemented with a frame in multiply blending mode.
I added a few elements from the APP to anchor the frame, used Anna Aspnes Acrylic Alpha https://www.oscraps.com/shop/product.php?productid=30653&page=1 to title the page, added some journaling, and the last step, a few transfers to fill in some edges and blending.

Journaling:
On Monday we woke to a cloud over the mountain, blocking the rising sun. Not long after, we were surprised by the sound of rain. Rain! How lovely to experience rain in this hot dry summer. In between showers we walked out back to the lake, which was smooth as glass, reflecting the clouds and the beautiful Tahoe Queen docked at Ski Run Marina.
