The Process
This is a photo that I took on a rainy day in NYC. The neon lights were reflecting on the wet street. I began with my photo by increasing the hue/saturation and tint to enhance the magenta colors. I then duplicated my photo 4 times (and hid the adjusted original, just incase!). Using a different artistic mode one on each layer (dry brush, paint daubs, underpainting, colored pencil) I played with the blending mode and opacity. I then chose a solid background paper from AP Autumn Soul and clipped my photo to a watercolor fotoblendz. I placed several transfers behind the photo and changed the blending mode to multiply to mute the colors a bit. Then I place a frame behind the transfers and using a layer mask, hid part of the frame to allow the photo to spill out. Elements, brushes, word art, and stitchez were added to finish the page.
