This is a photo of an aunt and uncle, probably taken in the late 40's. They were on the beach (my aunt is wearing a bathing cap), and I adore the photo, as I was mesmerized by my Aunt Ruths gorgeous eyes, and I love that my Uncle Jr is looking right at the camera with that slight smile of his.
This is for this week's AnnaLIFT with inspiration from Eva 'evadraga' with her page 'mom' https://ozone.oscraps.com/forum/showthread.php?p=458222#post458222. I rushed to get this done in time, but really wanted to scraplift it.

The Process: I had wanted to scrap this photo for some time, but just didnt know how to approach it, and Evas page certainly gave me the inspiration. I began with the neutral background, and added the circular frame and then the photo. I changed the color of the clipping mask to a neutral color and then began playing around with the various blend modes. I ended up with two layers of the photo the lower photo used blend mode luminosity, with an opacity of about 30%. The top blend mode used was color burn at 100% opacity. I am always amazed at how the different blend modes change a photograph, especially when using multiple layers of the same photo. I then added numerous transfers from the new AP Breathe, along with some of the new TissueTextures. I then went in search of elements, choosing elements that were somewhat soft and muted, or elements that I knew I could modify to become soft and muted. After placing various elements, and playing around with their position and layer level, I added custom shadows. I added the WordART, and then finished up by adding some brushwork around the photo and around the wordART to add a bit more depth. Being that the photo was taken at the beach, I added the transfer from AP Ocean Cove between the photo and the elements, and the loopdaloop. The last thing I did was modify the color of the photo by adding a very slight blue tinge to it.
