2014May22 Whitefish Bay

This is the 3rd of the Great Lakes - this is Whitefish Bay which is part of Lake Superior. Gordon Lightfoot is one of my favorite artists and I was able to see in him concert in Madison WI. He sang The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald and had the widow and son on stage. It was very emotional! During my trip I was able to see Whitefish Bay.

Nancy there is something so eerie and lonely about this layout. I love how you put the emphases on solitary tree with the frame.

Beautiful page and how nice you got to see Gordon Lightfoot!!

Agree this is Standing O for sure!! The soft hazy feel, the melancholy lyrics, and your use of the transfers' colors and textures add up to a perfect match for the song. Enjoyed your story written below also, thanks for sharing.

Oh, I love the quiet elegance of this. How you framed the tree and the muted palette and the script...all create such a symphony of beauty on a page.

What a beautiful page! I love the placement of the journalling around the log and the framing is great, too.
