Adam Clinton

Here is my AnnaLift for this week, inspired by Marleens gorgeous pages. https://ozone.oscraps.com/forum/showthread.php?t=29406

This is a photo of my maternal grand-father Adam Clinton. I never had the pleasure of meeting him, as he died quite young, years before my mom had children. I know little about the photo, except that my mom said he was holding a tootie roll pop. I am guessing it was taken when he got home from work, as you can see his metal lunch box on the grass behind him. I love the 3-piece suits that men wore in the 1940s. Sadly, he passed away about a year later.

The Process: I began with a slightly textured cardstock, and added the photo, which was copied several times. The original photo was not that great, so I played around with the various blend modes, levels and curves, until I was satisfied. I masked out most of the photo, just leaving in some of the vegetation in the background, and a slight amount of the house. I added the WordART, the ArtStrokes, and a few transfers, and then added the button and the stitching, playing around with the masking of it so that the strings went over the button, but the actual stitches are covered by the button. I added the photo info, and the WarmGlow.
