Let the Sun Shine through your Heart

This is my friend Megan with her daughter Cora, taken at an air show, which is why Cora has the camouflage ear protection on. I was concerned it would take away from the two photos, but blending them the way I did, I believe played them down (at least I hope).

The Process: This layout was so fun, because I experimented with the many techniques from Annas new AnnaBlendz No 3 Blending with Brushes. I started with a plain KardStock, and used a variety of techniques to blend the photos along the right edge of the page. I then added the SkinnyLined Overlay, playing around with positioning. I added the UrbanStitchez Sun, and placed one of the new WarmGlows under it. The glow was placed on blend mode Color Burn. I duplicated the glow, and placed that one on BlendMode Hard Light, but took the saturation of this glow down to grayscale, and then masked out portions to have the color not be too overpowering, as to take away from the rest of the page. I added the word strip, placing it on blend mode Darken, which erased the background of the strip. I angled it, placing it along one of the lines of the SkinnyLined Overlay. I added the WordART. I am always amazed at how Annas Artsy Papers can dramatically change the look of a layout, so I began placing the different Artsy Papers from her new kit AP Shine, changing their rotation, etc., to see if any of them worked better with what I already had on the page. When I added the one I ultimately used, I knew right away it was perfect. I added a few transfers to balance out the page, and then added the button near the blended word strip. I then took the washi tape, and used blend mode Darker Color on it to have just the triangles show. I duplicated it to make it longer. How Fun - Fini!!!
