Another layout for Amanda's challenge week. For this one, I did some contrast work and also blended the photo. Lots of journaling on this one. This is an old pic, from 2004 - from our honeymoon to Hawaii. How I long to go back!

Journaling:
This picture tells so many stories. Eric took it while we were on our honeymoon - this was taken while we were snorkeling on Kauai. We saw such beautiful fish that day. It was the first time snorkeling for either of us, quite the learning curve to figure out how to breathe right in those masks! Snorkeling was hard for me. Im scared of deep water, and the day before I had been pummeled by a wave and was even more scared of the ocean. But, I wanted to try this so badly, that I put aside my fears and just went with it. The bigger story with this photo is that about a half an hour later, Eric lost his wedding ring in the big beautiful ocean. The one that we had been married with just days before. I was bummed, but he was heartbroken. I will never forget the look on his face when he told me it was gone, that he had lost it while we were snorkeling. It definitely put a damper on that day, and the first thing we did when we got home
was go to the jewelers and order a new ring! Now we look back and laugh - it is just another memory from that trip.
