process...
i loaded the tree brushes and stamped one tree on its own layer. i colored the tree using soft round ps brushes. when i thought the tree looked okay, i duplicated it (and all of its color layers) four more times. i looked at the different strokes and pulled out the ones that could be used as trunks and branches (a lot of erasing). i added a little splatter and the title and it was done.
you could do a series of these for each season by using a hue/saturation adjustment layer and you wouldn't have to redo any of your work.
This is beautiful. I put these trees on my wish list, not fully knowing what I would do with them yet. Now I have a few ideas. This reminds me a lot of a picture that used to hang in my parents room. I want to try to recreate that a bit. And I have a few more ideas! Thanks for the inspiration!
