My niece has hit the teen years. She's a really good kid, but as with all teens she is going through some changes, testing parental limits, making her own decisions, trying to take some control of her own life. Mother and daughter are struggling to figure out their new relationship, and this has led to some tense moments and loud confrontations! In a recent discussion with my niece she told me what it's like when she and her mom disagree on something: when her mom gets her way my niece says she ends up with all these feelings trapped inside and someday, she tells me, "I am going to explode into rainbows!" Well, [i]that[/i] poetic description of teen angst put an image in my head, an image I thought I'd try to scrap, and the result is this page.

And yes, I did just post a page where I used Vicki's ballerina from her "The Music's In Me" kit as a focal point, but hey, anything worth doing is worth overdoing, right? :) Actually, I wanted a figure in motion in front of all the color and this charming ballerina fit the bill.
