Silverset Park

Journaling Reads: Oh how you love going to the park. There was a time that, if you had the chance, you would escape through the front door or side gate, and run as hard as you could to the park, with us chasing you and yelling at you to come. We would have to catch you to get you to come back, telling you what a bad dog you were to have bolted like that. You definitely had a mind of your own, and although we considered you a wonderful family companion, you came when you wanted, not when we asked. One day I came home to find you waiting at the front door, somehow having gotten out of the yard. I am certain you spent time at the park, and then came home to wait for us. I was so very thankful that nothing bad had happened to you, and was happy to see you, tail wagging, at the door.
You mellowed out as you got older, but you lived for your walks. You knew the words WALK, PARK, and even STABLE, all three would get you prancing beside us, so happy, because you knew what they meant. As you matured, we no longer had to worry - we could actually go out the front door with you, and you would sit on the driveway, but you would always be gazing at the park. We tried to take you on walks often, because we knew you loved to roll in the grass, smell all the good smells, catch a glimpse of squirrels and bunnies, and sit on the benches, content to watch the many people and dogs, and of course - walk, and walk, and walk! So much to do, so much to see! You thoroughly love it.

By Suzy Q Scraps A Fresh Start

The Process: I began with an Artsy Paper from AP Chance. I added additional transfers from the same kit, adjusting their opacity and blends modes until I liked the effect. I added the FotoBlendz, and attached the photo to it. I added the frame, placing another copy of the photo to the fotomask of that frame. I added a third copy of the photo on top of everything, and painted in only Crickets paws, that extended outside the frame. I added the title alpha, and then placed the journaling on the dark portions of the bg paper, around the title. I added the sketchy frame lines, and the white stitching, and finished up with the two pieces of word art, and finished with the scissored chevron, clipping an aqua paper from AP Go Retro to it, and stitiching it down, adding a heart to the end of the stitch, colorized.

***thanks for looking***

Beautiful page. I love how you play with transferts and brushes, and how you place the big title and journaling

Your journaling is so heartfelt, I love how you masked the photo and added the bits of color here and there.....awesome title work.

So wonderful to read the stories you are sharing, I feel your pain and your grief, I can only say that I understand you and I wish the pain will cease soon and the wonderful comforting memories will remain always with you. Ann
