Journaling reads: Your place in the car was the entire back seat. You have a nice thick dog blanket thrown over the back seat so your little nails had something to grip to, as we rounded corners, and you could go from window to window to see what you want. I almost always keep the windows closed, as I have heard that it is not good for a dog to have all that wind in their face when driving. Well, we threw that out the window, and today you got to sit up front with me, with the window rolled all the way down. I could tell you loved it; you were taking loud, deep breaths, taking in all that fresh air. I watched as you checked everything out as we drove, my hand reaching out to steady you when we turned a corner or stopped at a light. I always felt that riding in the car was not a favorite thing for you to do, but I knew you loved the destination, and that always made the ride worth it. I could tell that the window being down, today, made todays ride so special, and that made me happy.

The Process: I began with a solid KardStock from AP Go Retro, and added some of the transfers from the kit as well. I placed the frame, and attached the photo to the fotomask. I changed the color of the fotomask to a soft beige, allowing me to place the attached photo on Blend Mode of the photo to Hard Light. I then copied the photo again, placed it on Normal Blend Mode, but just blending in portions of the photo to bring back some of the detail. I then began adding the elements, playing around with their placement. I added the journaling, and the title WordART, and finished the layout by adding the LoopDaLoop, the RetroGlow, playing around with its blend mode, and the Edge Overlay, placed on Blend Mode Overlay.
