Sweet Life

You will have to bear with me for a bit, as we just found out this past Tuesday, that our dog Cricket has a tumor on her heart. Although it is operable, we have opted not to do so, as it will likely not prolong her life much longer, and may put her through more pain than she should have to handle. The doctor was able to relieve the pressure around her heart, and told us we have from hours to maybe a week or so. I have not handled things all that well this past week, but my dd and I have decided the best thing to do is make her last days her best. She actually seems fine, but she could go at any time. We are blessed with wonderful weather right not, so we are able to spend the late afternoons on the walking trails across the street, and I am trying to get those great photos of her and my daughter so that my daughter will have wonderful memories to hold onto. Rachel has put on a brave front, as these days are for Cricket!

The Process: I began with one of the Artsy Papers from Annas new AP Happy Life. I placed the photo, and then the frame. I masked out the photo, and then began painting in the portions I wanted. I added a variety of elements, and transfers short and sweet.
***thanks for looking***
It's so sad about your Cricket...and so unselfish of you to make the decision not to prolong things. Cricket is very lucky to have you and your daughter with her to make her life heaven on earth..sweet page..and I have to say it again..your daughter has the most beautiful hair!

I totally understand the pain as I went through the same situation a and we decided something similar for our dear dog Laika, it is so hard to imagine such a pain so real and profound, many hugs, BTW the page is so beautiful capturing this beautiful moment. Ann

never easy Joanie... our pets are family and letting go is difficult... sweet memories for all of you...

So sorry Joanie, but this is a beautiful tribute and I love your daughter coming out of the frame with Cricket!
