When we went to Paris in July, we stayed down the street from the Moulin Rouge...didn't go in (the line was long and we didn't really need to see the dancing can can girls) but it was great to walk around the streets there and get the flavor of that district.

How refreshing to see Paris this way, since the usual shot includes the Eiffel Tower. I happened to use a painting by Toulouse-Latrec in one of the other challenges. He did a lot of drawing at the Moulin Rouge, and I love his poster art, so this is a fascinating subject to me.
