Do What You Love

Journaling reads: Just like any dog, they never get out as much as they want - Cricket is no different. She knows, however, that on the weekend, I am around to take her out, and she will come find me and will constantly poke me with her nose to say come-on MOM - take me out, Im bored, I want to take a walk!! I could scold her, to make her go away, but I dont have the heart. I know how she lives for these walks. I let her choose, (for the most part) where we go, and it is usually up twin peaks, where I will occasionally take her leash off. She looks so happy as we walk, and she is sweet enough to pose for pictures for me.

The Process: I began with the Artsy Lazyered Template. I added the photos and decided to move everything on the template down toward the bottom. I played around with the various Artsy papers from AP Loved, and when I found the one I liked, I decided to not used some of the layers from the template that were between the 1st and 2nd photo. I added a number of the Watercolor Hearts, changing their colors, and opacity, and then began adding the elements. I had a problem with the journaling placement it wasnt until I placed one of the ArtStroke brushes that I decided where the journaling should go. I created a custom path allowing the text to go around the circles of the Artstroke. I added the WordArt on top of the box intended for the page title, placing a watercolor heart underneath it as well. I finished up by adding two of the Artist Edges, one in a very soft pink, and one in a green, playing around with the blend modes and opacities until they looked right.
