Enjoy Life

Well this started out being more like the gorgeous page I was lifting https://ozone.oscraps.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=300796&title=glow&cat=1351 (Glow by RucolaDesigns), and it suddenly seemed to morph into something completely different. That is what lifts do sometimes (at least mine do). A perfect lift for this week because although the much of the U.S. is very cold, it has been unseasonably warm here 80F today with about 7 percent humidity, so it is fun doing a water page. This is my dd and her best friend at Sunset Cliffs.

The Process: I began by placing a solid cardstock from AP Forester, I added the fotoblendz and attached the photo. The fotoblendz used was a long horizontal mask that faded a bit on each side. This enabled me to add the sky from AP Wander. I placed that on top of the brown cardstock, and masked out the bottom portion to allow the brown to blend with the brown rocks in the photo. I added both frames from AP Forester. The thin white frame was masked out at the center of all for sides. I recolored it a pale yellow. I took the other frame from AP Forester, and reduced its opacity down to about 40%, again masking out the center of all 4 sides. I added the BigWord, and then began adding the word strips and the other WordArt. I added the tag, making out the string to make it look like it was looped around the frame. I added the stitched arrows, and the brad. I added one of the Painted Squares on top of the photo, stretching it out to fit just to the inside of the frame. I changed its color and opacity so that it allowed the photo area within the frame to intensify just a bit. I took one of the sketchy edge overlays from Artist Edge Overlay, and also scaled it down to fit within the photo frame, changing its blend mode to Color Burn, and bringing its opacity down to about 20%. I added one more Artist Edge Overlay to the page edge, changing its color . I finished by adding the MagicSparkles Snow on top of the pelicans. I placed it on Blend Mode Lighten, and changed its color. To soften the look, I used the Gaussian Blur filter to about 30%, and for a little added texture, I added a lace brush from AP Salty Living to the bottom portion of the page.
